Nico's Weg : A1

Hello all! a few days ago I watched one of the films which really helped us to learn German. Peter Limbourgs Deutch Learning Program series, Nico's Weg A1. Yup that's a movie I watched. So basically, this film tells about Nico, a newcomer from Spain to Germany to meet his aunt, Yara. However, when Nico arrived in Germany he was hit by an accident. Nico is a clumsy person. He lost his bag in the airport and all of his important stuffs were there. Passports, cellphones, clothes, money, everything was in the bag. He only left a photo of his aunt who owns a bicycle shop.

Nico was very panicked and confused because he can't speak German at all. Luckily he met Emma and Lisa who took care to help find his bag. Nico also told them from the beginning that he could lose his bag. It all started with his bag was carried away by a taxi which made Nico fall into a big trouble because inside his bag, which bearing the bicycle logo.

As we know Nico doesn't speak German fluently so Lisa and the others teach him a little German. During the walk, Emma taught her by arranging an alphabet cookies to form her name "Lisa" and teaches Nico how to introduce himself in German. When Lisa stopped at the gas station to fill gas, Nico was suddenly recognized the taxi leaving with his bag in it. At the gas station, Nico stopped a taxi which he thought had his bag in it. Lisa tried to calm the angry taxi driver and introduced herself and Nico. Then while at the gas station, they meet Max, one of Lisa's friends. Max gives an idea what if we ask for help from Lisa's father who is also a police officer to help Nico find his bag.

Before going to the police station, Lisa and Nico drive Emma to her friend's birthday party. On the way there, Nico draws Emma with numbers, and Emma teaches Nico to count to 12 in German. When Nico was waiting in the car, listening to the radio. Then he heard someone calling the radio and said his bag was missing. Nico took Lisa's cell phone and called the radio station. Lisa is exchanging phone numbers with Lotte's mom then suddenly hears Nico on the radio. Nico tried to explain the problem to the radio presenter. Lisa ran to the car and took the phone from his hand.

When he arrived at the police station, Lisa's father immediately asked what items were in the bag and of course the characteristics of the bag. Nico shared that he had an aunt who lived here, but unfortunately his address was also on the missing bag. Without thinking, Lisa's father agrees to come along to help find Nico's missing bag.

Long story short, after days of Nico living in Germany and constantly looking for his bag, Selma finally found his bag. She found his bag placed on the side of the road. Many of Nico's belongings were missing, but his cellphone and passport were okay.

Actually this film is flat, but it really helps us in learning basic German. This film tells that Nico is a beginner who survived in German and certainly has experienced many things about Deutsch, he learned the language, culture, and also he tried the servings too. He survived even though he doesn't speak German very well. The actor's way of speaking is also very smooth so that we as the audience can understand. In conclusion, this film is highly recommended for us beginners, not only A1, there are many more that we can watch. So I will rate this film 8/10 because this film teach us about German's language and we can improve our skills by watching it
